There is something special about a maternity session. Whether it’s in our studio, at a fun outdoor location, or in your home, it’s so important to document the special time of your pregnancy. Although it seems like you will be pregnant forever (especially while waiting on baby to arrive if you are past your due date!) in the grand scheme of things it really passes in the blink of an eye. Soon the kicks, baby hiccups, and sleepless nights due to being uncomfortable turn into midnight feedings, changing diapers, and quickly growing out of the newborn clothes into the next size. Many women defer a maternity session and instead focus more on newborn portraits, but I believe your pregnancy also deserves to be documented.  So your child knows the love you had before your child was even born. How eagerly awaited they were and what their very first home looked like.  I adore the special time of pregnancy and love to help every woman see through the hormones and changing body to the beauty within. Because there is something very special about the anticipation of pregnancy.

I was honored to document Jane’s maternity session for so many reasons. Her husband wasn’t able to be there for the last few months of their 4th child’s pregnancy and also missed the delivery. There are so many sacrifices military families make for our great country and it truly is an honor to be welcomed into their lives to document this special time.
