Fayetteville Maternity Session
I was so excited when Taylor chose me to photograph her maternity session in addition to baby’s first year! Moms often overlook the pregnancy stage of a baby’s life, but it’s such a special time that is worth documenting. And I love when dads join the session too!
Studio Maternity Pictures
The studio offered a beautiful backdrop for Taylor’s maternity session. The turn of the century brick and plaster walls, tin ceiling, and original wood floors combine to make for one-of-a-kind portraits!
Clients also have access to the studio’s line of boutique clothing for expectant moms. Each piece has been carefully selected for a timeless look, with this beautiful pink dress being one of the available options.
Professionally applied hair and makeup can help you feel your best during a maternity session. Charmed Salon is right around the corner from the studio, and did a great job with Taylor’s hair.
Outside Pregnancy Pictures
A big perk of using the downtown Southern Pines studio is the ability to just hop downstairs for a completely different look. We were able to combine a studio and urban session into one!
The Southern Pines studio is located a short 45ish minute drive from Fayetteville. Many clients come for a session in the morning and then stick around to enjoy the town’s shopping and restaurants. Belli Bambini is just across the street if you’d like to shop for your new baby.
Displaying Your Artwork
Taylor’s goal was to decorate her home with the finished portraits, which is a specialty I love to help clients with. We’re currently working on decorating her master bedroom and a wall over the couch in her living room. Over the next year, we will work on decorating other rooms in their home. The nursery is up next!
This 24×36 canvas will go over the bed in the master bedroom. It’s important for a finished piece to be correctly sized for it’s intended space so that it has maximum impact. Ever wonder what size should go in the spaces you want to decorate in your own home? That’s something I can help with!
The Ordering Appointment is an important part of the SHP experience. It’s the time when all the magic comes together, and you’ll see the session images for the first time! It’s also the point at which you’ll choose what you’d like to order. The studio software will demonstrate how different sizes look on the walls of your own home, with your own decor. Once images and sizes are decided (don’t worry, I’ll help you with that!), your images will be carefully turned into finished art pieces. The Weymouth Collage below will showcase images from Taylor’s maternity session through baby’s first year. It’s going to be a beautiful display piece!
