There is nothing as beautiful as a pregnant woman.  Some women aren’t such fans of the way they feel in their new body but I think there is nothing as sacred, special, or lovely as the curves attained by bringing new life into the world.   I am so appreciative that “J” trusted me enough to capture this amazing time in her and her son’s life -and- let me show the entire world.  Is she not completely gorgeous??

 

Taking semi-nude pregnancy pictures is a big responsibility for a photographer.  You really have to know your lighting, flattering angles, thoughtful composition, and tasteful post-processing.   I was absolutely thrilled that “J” let me capture the rawness of her changing body in a beautiful and artistic way.  These semi-nudes are the ones she gave me permission to share but there are several others with her face showing that are equally, if not even more stunning.

I’m really hoping other expectant mommas see this blog post and are inspired to try something a little different in front of an experienced photographer also.   It is truly a special time to capture a stage in your baby’s life that is over in the blink of an eye.
